Gardens and park

In the spring, we open a historic kitchen garden and add to the park by planting fruit trees, bushes, and flowers.

This work is done as part of the two gardening courses we hold every year; these lay the foundation for the gardens for the year, which are then tended to by volunteers.

Pick your own: In late July or early August, when our flowerbeds are at the height of their bloom, we offer ‘pick your own’ sessions. For more information, see our social media.

Harvest festival: The first weekend in September is our harvest festival! Each year we harvest our vegetables; some we sell, some we serve in our delicious harvest soup in the Garden Café.

Open garden: The garden is open to the public all year, but please be respectful of guests who have hired the area for private events.
