Getting to Årås Estate & Gardens

Årås Estate & Gardens is situated outside the village of Kölingared, near the town of Ulricehamn in the county of Västra Götaland. Looking at a map, Årås can be found almost exactly in the middle of the triangle formed by the towns of Ulricehamn, Falköping, and Jönköping. Årås lies 25 km to the north-east of Ulricehamn.

Suggested route from National Road 40 Ulricehamn, Borås, Gothenburg
In Ulricehamn, take National Road 46 towards Falköping. In Dalum, take a right towards Kölingared. Follow signs towards Kölingared for about 15 km. When you reach a junction with a sign towards Liared and Årås Kvarn, take a right. Continue on this road for about 2 km until you reach Årås Kvarn & Vandrarhem (‘Årås Mill & Hostel’).

National Road 40 Jönköping
Travel along National Road 40 towards Ulricehamn until you reach the roadside restaurant and petrol station in Strängsered, where you take a right towards Liared. When you reach Liared, pass the church on your right and continue until you are at a junction with signs to Ulricehamn to your left and Kölingared straight ahead. Continue towards Kölingared. After around 1 km take a right towards Kölingared. After another 4 km or so along this road, you reach Årås Kvarn & Vandrarhem (‘Årås Mill & Hostel’) on your right.

National Road 46 Falköping, Trollhättan, Uddevalla
Travel along National Road 46 towards Ulricehamn until you reach Dalum, where you take a left towards Kölingared. Follow signs towards Kölingared for about 15 km until you reach a junction where you take a right towards Liared and Årås Kvarn. Continue on this road for about 2 km until you reach Årås Kvarn & Vandrarhem (‘Årås Mill & Hostel’).

National Road 48 Mullsjö, Skövde, or Jönköping
At the Mullsjö roundabout, drive towards Bottnaryd for around 1 km. Take a right towards Kölingared and continue for roughly 12 km. After passing Kölingared church on your left, go a few hundred metres and take a left at the next junction towards Årås Kvarn (and Ulricehamn). Drive another 1 km or so and take a left towards Årås Kvarn. After approximately 2 km you will reach Årås Kvarn & Vandrarhem (‘Årås Mill & Hostel’).
